Equine Biomechanical Consultations combining veterinary, Chiropractic and Osteopathy techniques
From routine assessments to complex performance or mobility issues, Dr Holland combines expert equine veterinary, chiropractic, and osteopathic care to help every horse reach its full potential.
Combining advanced equine chiropractic and osteopathic techniques with over 21 years of equine veterinary experience, Dr Holland provides a combination of assessment and treatment expertise that is unavailable anywhere else in the UK. Having spent decades studying and assessing equine movement, performance, and biomechanics, she brings an exceptional understanding of how horses move — and what can hold them back. This depth of knowledge cannot be learned in a classroom; it comes from years of hands-on experience, clinical insight, and a deep appreciation of equine anatomy and behaviour.
By blending veterinary science with chiropractic precision and osteopathic balance, Dr Holland offers comprehensive, results-driven care tailored to each individual horse. This holistic approach helps restore comfort, optimise performance, and maintain long-term soundness — whether your horse is a high-level competition athlete, in rehabilitation, or simply needing support to feel and move at their best.
The drug-free nature of this therapy makes it particularly suitable for competition horses where certain medications are restricted, offering effective pain relief and improved function without compromising compliance.
The Assessment and Treatment Process
Each consultation begins with a detailed evaluation of your horse. Dr Holland takes a comprehensive medical history and if necessary as a veterinary surgeon can review existing veterinary imaging to ensure a complete understanding of your horse’s condition. This is also a huge advantage to your horse in her understanding any conditions and treatments your horse has had or may need .
A full postural examination and veterinary gait analysis are performed — and a ridden assessment can be included on request. Following a thorough biomechanical review, your horse will receive tailored equine chiropractic and osteopathic adjustments as indicated along with myofascial treatment. As necessary a further veterinary gait analysis may be performed.
As necessary, a bespoke maintenance or rehabilitation plan can be provided, along with a digital home exercise programme to support ongoing improvement and recovery.
Dr Holland will help your horse achieve its potential.
